This event invites food lovers to explore the diverse dining scene in Yonge North York.

Each tour will feature a curated selection of Yonge North York BIA restaurants, showcasing the area’s exceptional culinary offering and vibrant food culture.  Purchase your tickets today! Early Bird Ticket Price:  $30+HST (Until January 31), Regular Ticket Price:  $35+HST.  

Our Foodie Tour Bus will drive guests and our Foodie Guide to four preselected restaurants.  Savour a different feature at each location.  Each tour will offer an appetizer at location1, a main dish at location 2, a dessert at location 3 and a specialty drink at location 4.  All Foodie Tours will start and end at Mel Lastman Square.   • Tẽrra Tẽrra is a lifestyle brand that blends nature and art, specializing in kokedama and houseplants. While rooted in e-commerce, we love connecting with our community face-to-face through local pop-up events. These gatherings let us showcase our passion for greenery and creativity, making plant care inspiring for all.

TU Jazz Fest

Canada’s biggest jazz festival for emerging artists, T.U. Jazz Fest, is celebrating its 10th annual festival at Mel Lastman Square on Labor Day Weekend.

A vital professional showcase for emerging musicians, the festival features two performance stages and a line-up that includes a feature performance by Juno-Award winner Kellylee Evans and Grammy Award nominee Karl Silveira alongside established and emerging jazz performers.  Enjoy over 40 local food and market vendors at the World East Market available all weekend long.  A masterclass featuring one of the most in-demand professional jazz musicians, Kellylee Evans is also available at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the North York Centre Library Auditorium. 

This FREE family festival runs from August 30th to September 2nd, 2024 at Mel Lastman Square, 5100 Yonge Street, North York.

T.U. Jazz Fest was established in 2014 to recognize and promote individual and collective works of Canada’s young jazz musicians. The festival provides much needed support through paid performances and opportunities to play alongside some of the country’s biggest jazz legends. T.U. Jazz Fest is presented by the Emerging Artists Association, a non-profit organization specializing in innovative and educational events for emerging artists. This much anticipated annual event creates developmental opportunities for equity-deserving emerging artists 45 or under in Canada and beyond and continues to build public awareness of the cultural significance of jazz and the diversity of the genre.

Examining a queer woman’s doomed venture to succeed within the bounds of the patriarchy. Panoply has written new text to supplement Shakespeare’s canon, and this new piece tells a story of shame, womanhood, and the cyclical nature of oppression.

The play will be co-produced by Bard in the Park and Community Centre 55, with support from the Willowdale Central Ratepayers Association (WCRA) and Ontario Historic Society (OHS). 

We will be performing throughout June, starting in the Beaches, then touring our show to the John McKenzie House June 21-23!

KSO Presents - A Romantic Evening in France

Acclaimed Kindred Spirits Orchestra is a world class civic orchestra that has been delighting audiences for 15 years!

Based in Markham, the KSO began performing in North York for the first time this year at the George Weston Recital Hall in the Meridian Arts Centre at 5040 Yonge Street. The third concert, A Romantic Evening in France, will take place Saturday, June 22nd at 8 p.m.

Renowned pianist Daniel Vnukowski will perform at this concert.

Franck’s Symphonic Variations, Symphonie Français sur un Chant Montagnard by d’Indy, and Bizet’s  Symphonie in C comprise the program.

Examining a queer woman’s doomed venture to succeed within the bounds of the patriarchy. Panoply has written new text to supplement Shakespeare’s canon, and this new piece tells a story of shame, womanhood, and the cyclical nature of oppression.

The play will be co-produced by Bard in the Park and Community Centre 55, with support from the Willowdale Central Ratepayers Association (WCRA) and Ontario Historic Society (OHS). 

We will be performing throughout June, starting in the Beaches, then touring our show to the John McKenzie House June 21-23!
